Your awkward Thursday game for this week is actually a rather good one, as the Indianapolis Colts travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars, who are still contending for a wild-card spot.
The main story about this game, however, is not the Jaguars’ possible goal to be a first-round exit, but the Colts and their quest for perfection. An unbelievable 13-0 (along with the New Orleans Saints) is mainly due to a very potent offense capable of coming back from anything led by Peyton Manning.
I’m going to keep this short and sweet. I tossed this game around in my head for a little bit, and I honestly could not give one strength the Jaguars had over the Colts. Jacksonville has a better running back in Maurice Jones-Drew, but the Colts defense line can eat up space and their pass rush is very good this year. David Garrard is going to be pressured and will constantly be uncomfortable throughout the whole game. If the Jaguars want to win, they need to target the guy in the #18 jersey. Pressure the hell out of him, get tight coverage on wide receivers Reggie Wayne and Pierre Garcon, make sure Dallas Clark isn’t chilling around by himself. If you can turn the Colts to their running game and Joseph Addai, you have a much better chance against them. I don’t know if all of this will happen, and it probably won’t, so I’m going to go with Indianapolis over Jacksonville like everyone else. Sorry.
Don’t worry, we’ll prove you wrong
